Hay sheds are specially designed storage buildings for hay. They’re typically situated away from the main farmstead and often function as a shelter for tractors, farming equipment, and cattle feed.
Hay is a time and labor-intensive crop. There is a lot of waste if it isn’t stored properly. Unprotected hay outside can be damaged by the elements, but hay stored in bales experiences damage as well. Less waste occurs with storage inside pens or covered areas such as a post frame hay barn.
